John H. Harding Complex

50-52 Queen St.

Saint John, New Brunswick

A two-and-a-half storey brick Second Empire complex consisting of two residences, it forms part of a larger residential complex located in the Trinity Royal Heritage Preservation Area of Saint John.  Built circa 1878, its recognized character defining elements include the mansard roof, rectangular vertical sliding windows, unique brick design, continuous sandstone window sills and two elaborate entrances.

Purchased by the National Trust for Canada to protect it from demolition, and sold in January 1984, the property is now protected as a part of a heritage conservation district, the Trinity Royal Heritage Conservation Area.
