Why should I become a member?

Canada's built heritage tells us a lot about ourselves, our communities.

Our old building stock reveals how Canadians lived, worshipped, worked and played. Buildings also bear witness to a community's prosperity or decline, to good planning and bad. In short, they relate something of our history, culture and traditions and, most importantly, they give us a sense of belonging.

The Heritage Canada Foundation has worked for over 30 years to encourage Canadians to protect and promote their built heritage and cultural landscapes.

We hope you will join us and help preserve the historic places of Canada.
